As you approach the Mausoleum of the Saint Bakshar located in Gwalior City in India's Central state of Madhya Pradesh, the reverberating beats of drum envelope you in spirituality that belongs to no single faith. On the occasion of 354th annual Urs of the saint Bakshar, thousands thronged his dargah to pay obeisance. Legend has it that the Saint came from Maharashtra and settled down here. He was known for his love for the poor and distributed all his wealth to the underprivileged regardless of their religion. And today his followers belong to all religions and his Mausoleum is a perfect symbol of communal harmony.
