Homage to Rajiv

The nation on Monday paid homage to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 63rd birthday. President Prathibha Patil, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, his cabinet colleagues and several Congress party workers paid floral tributes to the late leader at Veer Bhumi, his memorial on the bank of Yamuna river in New Delhi. Congress President Sonia Gandhi along with her son Rahul, daughter Priyanka and her husband and their two children were among the first to pay tributes.
