India concerned over escalating violence in Sri Lanka

Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon said on Wednesday that the government was concerned over escalating violence in neighbouring Sri Lanka.Sri Lankan troops drove the Tamil Tiger rebels from a key stronghold in the island's restive east on Wednesday, after a Tamil Tiger suicide bomber tried to blow up an army camp in Sri Lanka on Tuesday, killing nine people.
