India, Kazakhstan all set to sign civilian nuclear deal

India and Kazakhstan have almost agreed to sign a civilian nuclear agreement, the umbrella of inter-governmental agreement on the peaceful uses of nuclear energy. Lata Reddy, Secretary (East) in India's Foreign Ministry stated this on Wednesday at Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. The agreement is also expected to facilitate Indian investments in mining sector and supply of uranium from Kazakhstan. Reddy also disclosed that India, having great interest in crude oil import from Kazakhstan, can provide helping hand in oil exploration too.
