Interlocutors hold public meeting in Kashmir

Aiming to strengthen ties with the locals and enhance their confidence in the central government, the panel of interlocutors on the Kashmir issue met 16 delegations, comprising locals, political parties, civil society groups and village council heads, in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. Journalist Dileep Padgaonkar, academician Radha Kumar and former Information Commissioner M.M Ansari interacted with the locals and heard their grievances in the meeting. The interlocutors, currently on a five-day visit to the region, also urged people of Kashmir to help resolve the long-standing crisis through exchange of views and thoughts on the situation.
