While speaking to the media in Chandigarh on Sunday Former Director General of Police K P S Gill opined that the anti-mine vehicles being used by the para-military forces in the counter insurgency operations against the Maoists are useless. His comments came after one of the worst attacks by the rebels on April 6, where the Maoists killed at least 76 police personnel by ambushing them at Taadmetala village in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh. Raising question against the DRDO manufactured AMVs (Anti Mine Vehicles); Gill said that the machines are good for nothing.Keywords:
