Maoists release abducted Jharkhand’s BDO Prashant Kumar Layak

Maoists in Jharkhand on Friday released the abducted Block Development Officer (BDO) Prashant Kumar Layak, after keeping him in captivity for six days. Meanwhile Jharkhand Home Secretary J B Tubid said that due process of law would be followed in the matter. Refusing to divulge the details as to how many persons would be released, the Home Secretary added that they would re-investigate the case of the villagers.
