Merc hit-and-run | Victim’s family releases shocking CCTV footage

In a major push for justice, the family of 32-year-old Siddharth Sharma has released the footage of Monday's hit-and-run in Delhi. Sharma, was crossing the road, when a speeding Mercedes hit him and flung him several feet into the air. The car - which came at a speed of around 100 km an hour - was allegedly driven by a 17-year-old schoolboy. The boy was out with his friends, allegedly celebrating the end of Class 12 examinations. After hitting Sidharth Sharma, the Mercedes went over a pavement and came to a stop as its front tyres burst. The accused fled from the scene, leaving the car behind. Meanwhile, Sharma's friends and relatives held a candle-light march demanding stricter punishment for the accused. Siddharth's father has also accused the police of going slow and taking action more than 24 hours after his son was killed.
