Setback to Reliance SEZ plans in Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh on Thursday referred back to the central government, an industrial hub proposal by conglomerate Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group. The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by the new state chief Mayawati, discussing findings of a panel that the proposed land area was not 'contiguous'- a requirement as per central directives.
