Sonu accident: Div Railway Manager blames lack of public support for delay in action

A national- level sportswoman career crippled when she was thrown from a moving train by some robbers in Bareilly, who wanted to snatch her gold chain. 23-year-old Sonu Sinha, a member of the UP volleyball squad, was pushed out of a moving train when she resisted attempts by robbers to snatch her gold chain. She lost a leg after she was hit by another train passing the adjacent tracks, on Wednesday morning. A day after the incident the railway officials visited the athlete who is now under going treatment in the city's District Hospital. Divisional Railway Manager K. B. Nanda met Sinha and contended that lack of support from public led to delay in action by the railways.
