Traditional balloons for Holi

Jaipur is famous for Gulal Gota, made by melting lacquer into a fine membrane balloon. Only a few craftsmen in the city can make Gulal Gota, a tender colour bomb thrown at unsuspecting passerby or a willing player during the festival. The lacquer doesn't hurt, creates minimum mess and can be easily hidden.
