UN chief seeks unhindered access to Tamil refugees

United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said that, his organisation was ready to help the Sri Lankan government meet urgent humanitarian needs, but the government must provide unimpeded access to Internally Displaced Persons' camps. In a joint news conference with Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogolagama on Saturday, at the presidential hilltop residence in Kandy, he made a strong call for unimpeded access to the IDP camps.
