Wipro fails to match rivals in quarterly earnings

India's third largest IT giant Wipro on Friday reported its net profit rise by 9.7 per cent to 12.85 billion rupees in the second quarter, though the net profit was down by 2.56% as compared to preceding quarter. Wipro's single-digit growth fails to match with the soaring double-digit growth rate of Tata Consultancy Services and Infosys.
