The West Bengal Police have alleged that BJP’s top leader in the state, Suvendu Adhikari, who is also the leader of opposition, called a Sikh cop ‘Khalistani’. The Khalistani row erupted during a BJP march to Sandheshkhali which the police allegedly stopped. SSP Jagmeet Singh alleged he was called a ‘Khalistani’ by someone at the BJP march. Suvendu Adhikari, however, refuted the charges and threatened to sue South Bengal ADG Supratim Sarkar, who said stringent action is being taken against the BJP leader, if he doesn’t prove the allegations in 24 hours.
