Modi alleges ‘conspiracy against poor’ as Rahul promises ‘Nyay’

Stepping up his attack on the Opposition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the Congress and the Biju Janata Dal of conspiring to keep the impoverished poor and using them as a vote bank. The attack came on the day that the Congress released its manifesto with the 'NYAY' or minimum income guarantee scheme as its highlight. Modi said that former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi had admitted that of each rupee sent by the Centre, only 15 paise reached the poor, but still the Congress hadn't corrected the system.
