‘Tughlaq Road Election Scam’: Modi swipes at Congress over I-T raids in MP

Addressing an election rally in Gujarat's Junagarh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused Congress of being involved in a 'Tughlaq Road Election Scam', a reference to the I-T raids on alleged aides of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath. The Income Tax Department has alleged a 'racket' of collection of Rs 281 crore 'unaccounted cash' and the movement of Rs 20 crore to the headquarters of a political party in New Delhi. The Congress has called the raids politically motivated.
