With indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas failing to achieve a breakthrough on a hostage-release and ceasefire agreement, a major update has been delivered regarding Russian citizens being held hostage in Gaza. Israel's ambassador to Russia made the revelation while commenting on the hostage crisis. In January, Moscow had pressed Hamas to ensure release of civilian hostages, including those holding Russian passports.
