The HC cited "evil consequences that are likely to occur" after its broadcast in its order. The HC said a stay has been placed considering the "seriousness" of the allegations made in the petition. The high court has asked the I&B Ministry and Al Jazeera to file their responses by July 6. The case harks back to the controversy over the BBC’s documentary on Narendra Modi.
