Grandson of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar said India cannot have one father of the nation. Ranjit Savarkar added that he doesn’t accept the concept of ‘father of the nation’. His remarks came after AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi said BJP will declare Savarkar as father of the nation. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s comments sparked a row on Wednesday. He claimed it was Mahatma Gandhi who asked Savarkar to file mercy pleas with the British. Singh also claimed that there was a deliberate conspiracy to defame Savarkar. Watch the full video for more.
