A day-long Maharashtra bandh is currently underway across the state. The bandh was called in protest against the killings of four farmers in UP’s Lakhimpur Kheri. The bandh call was given by MVA coalition: Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress. Streets were deserted as the shutdown came into effect. In view of the bandh, security arrangements have been heightened in Mumbai. Bandh affected the commuters in the morning rush hour in Mumbai & other areas. Hindmata market, one of the biggest cloth market remained fully closed. Similarly all shops at Lalbaug, Parel and Dadar were also completely closed. Watch the full video for more.
