'Had Balasaheb...': Sameer Wankhede's wife's open letter to Uddhav Thackeray

NCB officer Sameer Wankhede's wife Kranti Redkar has written a letter to Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray. Kranti sought justice for her husband & also an appointment from Thackeray. In her letter to CM Thackeray, Kranti Redkar said that the entire family is facing insult. “We are being insulted before people every day. A woman's dignity is being toyed with in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj' state. Had Balasaheb been here today, he wouldn't have liked it. He (Balasaheb) is not here today but you are. We see him in you, we trust you. I believe that you will not allow injustice to my family and me. As a Marathi, I look towards you with hopes of justice. I request you for justice,” she said. Kranti later said she has sought time from the Maharashtra chief minister for a meeting. Wankhede is in the eye of a political storm following extortion charges in the cruise drugs case. The NCB zonal director is facing a departmental vigilance probe ordered by Maharashtra govt. Earlier, Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik had levelled a string of allegations against Wankhede. Malik's allegations include forging documents to get a job under quota, illegal phone tapping. Wankhede carried out the raid on a cruise ship on October 2 after which Aryan was arrested.
