'Kali is alcohol-accepting Goddess': Mahua Moitra sparks fury; TMC condemns

TMC Lok Sabha MP Mahua Moitra has sparked fury with her description of Goddess Kali amid ongoing row over the deity's smoking poster. The TMC MP while speaking at India Today Conlave East said that she believes Kali is a meat-eating, alcohol-accepting Goddess. Her comments however sparked massive outrage, forcing TMC to issue a condemnation and distance itself from its MP's views. The BJP meanwhile has demanded arrest of the TMC MP.
