A bitter political faceoff has erupted in Punjab in the wake of sacrilege attempts and subsequent lynchings of two accused. While the political parties have largely maintained silence over the the lynchings, but both the opposition BJP and Akali Dal have hit out at ruling Congress over the sacrilege attempts.
