TMC leader Saugata Roy slammed Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma for his 'red carpet' remark against West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee. Calling him a 'dal badlu', Roy said Sarma shouldn't comment on Bengal and focus on his state instead. “I give no importance to what he says. He is a 'dal badlu' (party hopper),” Saugata Roy said. Sarma had said he would roll out a red carpet welcome for Mamata during her possible Assam visit. He had added that her visit would help BJP in polls as votes will get divided between Cong, TMC. “The more she visits Assam and Tripura, the more it will benefit us (BJP). If she visits Assam, Tripura, the votes will be divided between Congress & TMC. We will welcome her by rolling out a red carpet,” he had said. Sarma was on a short trip to Siliguri to meet the family of late former Assam legislator Aloke Ghosh.
