Parts of Mumbai flooded as heavy rains lash city; CM chairs meet, traffic hit

Parts of Mumbai have been waterlogged and traffic movement affected as city is witnessing heavy rain since last night. The IMD has predicted moderate to heavy rain in the city and its suburbs over the next 24 hours, with a possibility of very heavy showers at isolated places. Several videos on social media show inundated Sion, Andheri areas and people wading through knee-deep waters. Due to flooding in many low-lying areas and railway tracks, train and bus services were also affected. In view of the heavy rain in Mumbai and coastal Maharashtra in general, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has deployed its teams for emergency services. Watch this video for more details.
