PoK varsities on the brink of closure; Sharif playing with students' future?

Over 140 public universities in Pakistan are bearing the brunt of the drastic cut in recurring grants. Steep reduction in grants - threat to the survival of 5 universities in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Many Pakistani universities run the risk of shutting down owing to the cut in recurring grants. Higher Education Commission Chairman warned of a 'severe education crisis' in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Pak education heads fear it'll soon be impossible for universities to pay salaries or pensions.
