Yemen’s Houthi rebels claimed to have launched six military operations targeting Saudi oil facilities, airports and military installations on October 19, raising tensions with Riyadh amid renewed fighting in the region. Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree said the operations involved ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones, allegedly targeting Aramco facilities in Yanbu, the Shaybah oil field, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Abha Airport and military sites including Khamis Mushait Air Base. The claims have not been independently verified. Separately, a Houthi missile attack reportedly struck a Saudi-backed military camp in Yemen’s Shabwa province, killing 53 soldiers and wounding around 200 recruits.
