India and China have reached an agreement to disengage from the northern and southern banks of Pangong Lake in Eastern Ladakh. This comes after a long standoff between the forces of the two countries at the LAC in Ladakh. While many see this step as the beginning of a process that could lead to lasting calm in the borders, others have questioned whether India can trust China to live up to the agreement.
