CWG 2018: India let off with a reprimand for flouting ‘no needle policy’

India on Tuesday was let off with a reprimand for the use of syringes at the Commonwealth Games village. The doctor of Indian boxing team was given 'a strong written reprimand' by the Commonwealth Games Federation for breaching the 'no needle policy' of the games. Amol Patil gave a vitamin injection to a boxer without advance notice to the games organisers and the used syringes were found near the Indian boxers' accomodation at the athletes village.
