Australia has set a stiff 499-run target for India as they declared their second innings on 351/7 after tea, on the third day of the opening Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. According to the former Australian skipper Steve Waugh, it was Dravid's timidity while facing the Australian pace battery that turned the match in the favour of Aussies. Dravid could only score 5 out of 66 balls and the Indian team was bundled out for 196 on the second day of the match.
