The United States Army has now set up a permanent garrison in Poland. A milestone move by the United States is to underscore its central role in NATO support for Ukraine's fight against invading Russian forces. The announcement was made by Polish Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak on Tuesday at a ceremony at Camp Kosciuszko in the city of Poznan. Notably, the announcement comes amid ongoing war between Russia & Ukraine. U.S claims the new move is to counter Russian aggression. With the new garrison, there are more than 10,000 U.S troops stationed in Poland now.
