‘14th August worst day for Balochistan’: Activist on Pakistan Independence Day

As Pakistan celebrates its Independence Day, a Baloch activist has launched a scathing attack. Baloch People's Congress Chairperson Naela Quadri Baloch said that 14th August is the worst day in the history of Balochistan. She said that Pakistan invaded their land as Pakistan is a land-locked country and it needed access to ports. She accused Pakistan of selling ports to China and added that local residents are against it. She also attacked the Pakistan Army and said that they have the freedom to attack, rape and rob anyone in Balochistan. The activist said that the Pakistan Army is the only institution that is free in the entire country. 'Baloch people, Sundhis, Pashtun, Muhajir, Hindus everybody in Pakistan is in prison,' said Quadri Baloch on Pakistan Independence Day. Balochistan has been facing atrocities by the Pakistan Army and government for several years now. Reports of disappearances, forced conversions and murder emerge from the region on a regular basis. Pakistan however continues to remain in denial over the issue. Watch the full video for all the details.
