Defying US sanction threat, Turkey gets Russian missile system

Defying United States of America's threat to impose sanctions, Turkey has taken delivery of the first shipment of Russian missile defence system. The deal for S400 defence system signifies closer cooperation between Ankara and Moscow at the risk of aggravating Washington. The US administration's main concern is joint use of American F35 fighter jets and the Russian S400 system, which Washington believes could expose F35's vulnerabilities to the Russians, according to reports. India is also in the process of procuring the same missile defence system from Russia.
