Protests against French immigration law turned violent in France's Brittany. Several hundred people rallied through the center of Rennes in northwest France. Violent demonstrators vandalised shops, smashed windows of stores, and scribbled anti-government slogans on walls. Police used tear gas shells and mortar fire to disperse the demonstrators.
