Israel’s military said civilians were injured when Palestinians opened fire on their car while they were visiting the West Bank city of Nablus. The incident took place when a group of Jewish worshippers entered the Palestinian-controlled city to make the pilgrimage to Joseph’s Tomb. The tomb is believed by some Jews to be the resting place of the biblical Joseph. After gunfire broke out, Israeli forces entered the area to evacuate the civilians. The shooting left two of the civilians injured.
