North Korea has reportedly inaugurated an underground defence museum showcasing an extensive collection of missiles, drones, naval weapons and armoured vehicles, with more than 25 missile launch vehicles and around 15 types of drone and naval systems on display. The unveiling comes amid renewed tensions with South Korea, as North Korea warns of countermeasures along the heavily militarised border. The display also raises questions about the role of the facility in showcasing the country’s land-based and maritime strike capabilities.
