India has issued a notice to Pakistan calling for a modification of the Indus Waters Treaty as the dispute resolution mechanism of the treaty remains in a deadlock for 5 years. New Delhi called on Islamabad for the amendment saying Pakistani intransigence on the Indus Waters Treaty forced India to issue a notice of modification to the Treaty.
