With ripples from the developments in Afghanistan spreading across the world, especially Asia, the foreign minister of Saudi Arabia arrived in Delhi for a 3-day visit. Prince Faisal bin Farhan al Saud met his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on September 19, with a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi likely on September 20. He had earlier backed the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, hoping it would bring stability and an end to violence.
