Blind Irishman completes Everest marathon

Irishman Mark Pollock made a historic completion of the Tenzing-Hilary Everest Marathon, becoming the first visually challenged person to cover the race in record time. Thirty-one-year-old Pollock, who took on one of the most challenging sporting events with the guidance of helper John O Regan, completed the high-altitude race in 16 hours, 27 minutes and 30 seconds.
