Bush and Lula agree to promote biofuel production
Brazil and the United States had agreed to cooperate in promoting biofuels and expressed dedication to working on the Doha round of global trade talks. Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and U.S. President George W. Bush toured a biofuels facility of state energy company Petrobras. Lula announced a bilateral agreement and said the two countries should encourage other countries to diversify their energy sources.
