Japan asks India to abide by joint moratorium on nuke tests

Japanese Prime Minister on Wednesday said that his country expected India to abide by a unilateral moratorium on atomic tests. Taro Aso said this while addressing a joint news conference along with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in Tokyo. Japanese companies have been keen for a slice of India's nuclear energy market, but on any possible civil nuclear cooperation with Japan, Aso said that Japan wanted India to continue a moratorium on nuclear tests.
