"The main task is, of course, for the Defence Ministry to dislodge the enemy from our territories and, together with the border service, to ensure reliable cover and protection of the state border," Putin said. Russian officials are evacuating citizens from the Belgorod region, with Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov citing increased "enemy activity" near the border as the reason for the evacuation.
