Donald Trump: The note contained a small amount of white powder although it was not clear what the substance was.
The prosecutor investigating former US President Donald Trump received a letter containing a death threat and white powder, NBC news reported quoting law enforcement authorities. The letter was mailed to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, the report added. It read: "ALVIN: I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

The note also contained a small amount of white powder although it was not clear what the substance was. No evacuations or injuries were reported, officials said.
The New York District Attorney's office said the letter “was immediately contained and that the NYPD Emergency Service Unit and the NYC Department of Environmental Protection determined there was no dangerous substance", as per the report. Alvin Bragg and his office received "several hundred threats" in recent weeks, the report claimed.

Acknowledging the challenges he is facing, the Manhattan District Attorney also sent an email to his office which read, "I know it hasn’t been easy,” with all of the “press attention and security around our office".
“We will continue to apply the law evenly and fairly,” he added.
The letter was sent from Orlando, Florida, earlier in the week, markings showed, as per the report. The letter comes as Donald Trump claimed that he is due to be arrested urging his supporters to protest. The former US president also warned of "potential death and destruction" if the District Attorney indicts him.
