Israel Iran war news live: Iran launched as many as six missiles towards Israel this morning in two salvos,  according to the Israeli Defence Forces, reported Times of Israel. While there were only two missiles in the first launch, four missiles were launched in the second attack, out of which, one hit an apartment building in souther Israel's  Beersheba city.

“Search and Rescue forces are operating in several locations across the country in which reports of fallen projectiles were received. The public is requested to continue to follow the instructions of the Home Front Command,” said IDF. 

Israel Iran war news live: Medics are responding after an impact caused by ballistic missile in southern Israel's Beersheba was reported, reported Times of Israel.

Israel medical emergency agency Magen David Adom has said that it has not received reports of casualties so far, however, it is heading to the sites of reported impacts.

Israel Iran war news live: Explosions were heard over Tel Aviv, reported Reuters, as sirens sounded in several parts of Israel after IDF said that missiles were launched towards their country by Iran. 

Israel Iran war news live: Israeli Defence Forces say that they have identified another salvo of missiles launched by Iran towards Israel and that defensive systems were operating to intercept the threat. 

“At this time, the IAF is operating to intercept and strike where necessary to eliminate the threat. The defense is not hermetic, therefore, it is essential to continue following the instructions of the Home Front Command,” said IDF. 

There have been no reports yet of any impact or casualties caused by Iran's latest missile attack on Israel, according to Israel's medical emergency service Magen David Adom, reported Times of Israel. 

“Following the situational assessment, the Home Front Command published that it is now permitted to leave protected spaces. The public is requested to continue to follow the instructions of the Home Front Command,” said IDF minutes after saying that they identified missiles launched by Iran towards Israel.

Israeli Defence Forces say that a “short while ago”, the IDF identified missiles launched from Iran toward the territory of the State of Israel.

"Defensive systems are operating to intercept the threat.

Upon receiving an alert, the public is instructed to enter a protected space and remain there until further notice.

Leaving the protected space is only permitted following an explicit directive. Continue to follow the instructions of the Home Front Command," said IDF.

Although Israeli military has not yet reacted to Trump's ceasefire annoucement between Israel and Iran, a senior White House official said Trump had brokered the deal in a call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel had agreed so long as Iran did not launch further attacks, reported Reuters.

Israel Iran news war LIVE: Iran retaliated Monday for the US attacks on its nuclear sites by targeting Al Udeid Air Base, a sprawling desert facility in Qatar that serves as a major regional military hub for American forces.

The base hosts thousands of US service members and served as a major staging ground for the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. At the height of both, Al Udeid housed some 10,000 US troops, and that number dropped to about 8,000 as of 2022.

The forward headquarters of Central Command, it also was used in the fight against the Islamic State group in Iraq and Syria.

Al Udeid is built on a flat stretch of desert about 20 miles (30 kilometers) southwest of Qatar’s capital, Doha.

Over two decades, the gas-rich Gulf country has spent some $8 billion in developing the base, once considered so sensitive that American military officers would say only that it was somewhere “in southwest Asia.” (AP)

After Trump announced ceasefire between Israel and Iran, which has not been confirmed by the former yet, the Israeli Defence Forces said that the Home Front Command emphasizes that “there are no changes to the Home Front Command instructions. The public is requested to continue to follow the instructions of the Home Front Command through official channels.”

Oil slumped and stocks rallied after President Donald Trump announced Israel and Iran had agreed to a ceasefire, spurring optimism the worst of the Middle East conflict is over.

Global benchmark Brent crude tumbled almost 5% in early Asian trading after Trump made the surprise comment on his Truth Social platform. S&P 500 futures rose 0.5%, while key stock indexes advanced in Japan and Australia. The news damped demand for haven assets with the dollar weakening against all its Group-of-10 peers and Treasury futures falling.

Trump’s statement followed Iran’s strikes on a US base in Qatar Monday that were flagged in advance and seen as largely symbolic, pushing the S&P 500’s gain to 1% on Monday. (Bloomberg)

While Israel has not yet acknowledged or reacted to the ceasefire made by Trump, there were no reports of Israeli strikes in Iran after 4 am local time, a deadline announced by Tehran, reported AP. Heavy Israeli strikes continued in Tehran and other cities until shortly before that time.

Israel Iran news war LIVE: Iran's foreign minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, minutes after saying that there was no ceasefire agreement, has now confirmed in a cryptic post that its military operations against Israel have ended. 

"The military operations of our powerful Armed Forces to punish Israel for its aggression continued until the very last minute, at 4am.

Together with all Iranians, I thank our brave Armed Forces who remain ready to defend our dear country until their last drop of blood, and who responded to any attack by the enemy until the very last minute," he wrote on X. 

Hours before Trump's ceasefire announcement between Israel and Iran, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said in an interview on Tuesday that prospects for reviving the 2015 nuclear agreement with Iran are currently slim, reported Reuters.

Speaking to the Izvestia news outlet, Ryabkov said that he did not "see at the moment, conditions for restoring the (Iran deal)." He referring to the 2015 accord, known as the JCPOA.

"But that doesn't mean we’re giving up on diplomacy—quite the opposite. This is precisely the moment to intensify our efforts toward solutions that could help stabilize the situation," he added. 

The Israeli military declined to comment on Trump’s statement and the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment. (AP)

Iran carried out a missile attack on Monday night targeting US military bases in Qatar. The attack at the al-Udeid Air Base in Doha came in response to the US attack, plunging the West Asia region into a deeper crisis as countries issued high alert, shut their airspace and sounded sirens.

Iran's foreign minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said that there is no ‘agreement’ on any ceasefire between Iran and Israel as of now, hours after Trump's announcement.

"As Iran has repeatedly made clear: Israel launched war on Iran, not the other way around.

As of now, there is NO "agreement" on any ceasefire or cessation of military operations. However, provided that the Israeli regime stops its illegal aggression against the Iranian people no later than 4 am Tehran time, we have no intention to continue our response afterwards.

The final decision on the cessation of our military operations will be made later," he said in a post on X.

Several Persian Gulf states, including Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, have reopened their airspace and resumed operations at some of the world’s busiest airports after halting flights as Iran launched air strikes at a US base in Qatar.

Qatar barred flights from entering its skies as it prepared for Tehran’s attack. Neighbors Bahrain, the UAE and Kuwait followed swiftly as a precautionary measure. The disruptions lasted several hours and resulted in dozens of aircraft diverting from major hub cities Dubai and Doha. (Bloomberg)

Israel Iran news war LIVE: US President Donald Trump on Monday said that Iran gave the United States notice prior to shooting missiles at its military base in Qatar. In a post on social media platform Truth Social, Trump said that the “early notice” from Iran made it possible for no lives to be lost. 

"I am pleased to report that NO Americans were harmed, and hardly any damage was done. Most importantly, they’ve gotten it all out of their 'system,' and there will, hopefully, be no further HATE," Trump wrote.

"Perhaps Iran can now proceed to Peace and Harmony in the Region, and I will enthusiastically encourage Israel to do the same," Trump added. Read more.

US President Donald Trump told NBC News he expects that the ceasefire announced by him between Israel and Iran will end all military hostilities between them and will last “forever.”

"I think the ceasefire is unlimited. It's going to go forever," said Trump. 

“Yes. I don’t believe they will ever be shooting at each other again," he added when asked whether the war between Israel and Iran was really over. 

Major explosions were heard in Iraq's capital city of Baghdad early Tuesday, minutes after United States President Donald Trump announced a tentative ceasefire between Israel and Iran. An Iraqi military official said that an unidentifed drone had targeted Camp Taji, a military installation located to the north of Baghdad, adding that there were no casualties, the state news agency reported.
