“It (Kashmir) may have come up in passing, but that wasn’t the focus of their discussion,” UN spokesman Farhan Haq told reporters at the UN headquarters, in response to a question on this issue.
Asked about the Secretary-General’s meeting in Egypt last week with Gilani, the spokesperson said that they discussed India-Pakistan relations, the work of the Bhutto Commission and the Group of Friends of Democratic Pakistan.
“There were a number of issues like, relations between India and Pakistan, including support for the work of the Group of Friends of a Democratic Pakistan and also the work of the Bhutto Commission” Haq said.
Ban and Gilani met at Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt last week.
