The accident occurred on Saturday night on the Naciones Unidas Avenue when the bus veered off the road and fell into a deep ravine, the Bolivian highway patrol said Sunday.

At the time of the accident there were heavy showers in the region, officials said.

Most of the victims have been identified, the report said.
