Curfew in west Nepal after Maoists attacked CA members

Two dozen people, including policemen, were injured during the clash which occurred after the local Maoists tried to submit their recommendations unilaterally without consulting with other political parties, according to a private television.

Following an argument, the cadres of the Young Communist League, the Maoists' youth wing, attacked the CA members. Curfew has been imposed till tomorrow morning in the area considered to be Maoists' stronghold.

Meanwhile, 10 people were injured during yet another clash that occurred between policemen and the local people in Chapagaon area of Lalitpur district in Kathmandu on Sunday.

Locals alleged that the police have been involved in the abduction of a girl, who has been missing for the past four days.

Police resorted to areal firing after the agitators pelted stone at the policemen, local police said.
