Eight people were killed and 41 injured when two commuter buses collided southeast of the Philippine capital, the police said.

Eight people were killed and 41 injured when two commuter buses collided southeast of the Philippine capital, the police said on Monday.
The buses hit each other on a highway in Lucena City just after midnight, a national police report said.
Investigators were looking into the cause of the crash, it added.
