Germany sees no immediate terror attack threat

German Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere said on Wednesday he saw no indications of any imminent terror attack on Germany even though the country is in general a target.

German Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere said on Wednesday he saw no indications of any imminent terror attack on Germany even though the country is in general a target.

"No one should doubt that Germany is a target for terrorists but on the other hand there are no concrete, immediate attack plans that we are aware of," de Maiziere told Deutschlandfunk German radio.

He said German security officials were closely investigating every tip and working closely with Germany's international partners. "We're working on it but not talking a lot," de Maiziere added.
