The News International reported that a team of doctors examined Haider Gilani in London on Monday. Biopsy tests and ultrasound have shown the presence of a cyst in the liver of Haider who got married about four months back.

The surgery is expected to be carried out very soon.

Haider was last week taken to London.

The surgeons had earlier indicated that the surgery could be performed on Tuesday. Accordingly, the prime minister had made plans to go to London to be present during Haider's surgery.

Gilani, however, will now be travelling to India after his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh invited him to watch the crucial India-Pakistan semi-final match to be played in Mohali March 30.

The media report quoted sources as saying that Gilani may proceed to London on a private visit immediately after coming back from India Wednesday night.
